As the author of 14 published books, with 30 years private practice and extensive media experience on major television and radio, including Coast to Coast with Art Bell, Coast to Coast with George Noory, The Bill Mahar Show, The Geraldo Rivera Show and many more, the issues I hear the most about are, loss, trauma and “spiritual bankruptcy.” Clients visit my office, “Not feeling right,” “Life has no meaning,” “Overwhelmed with military or trauma based PTSD” or “Clinical depression and spiritual disconnection.” As we travel the road of “here and now” concerns, finding solutions to our challenges, inevitable we will hit the massive wall of grief. This grief can be old or new. How often I’ve had widowers or the parents of children who have passed on a few years back, say to me, “Those losses don’t affect me anymore.” Heart to Heart Healing first involves respecting where the patient, client or sitter is. This is foremost. Pushing too hard, believing grief is not an issue, without further exploration, or ignoring this all together will not be healthy for those we serve. Each individual is different. Original grief workers gave us specific paths for exploring loss. Though we are grateful for this, we can no longer squeeze triangles, oblong shapes, poke-a-dots, squares, stars or rectangles into a circle. We must also recognize everyone grieves differently, and that family history or cultural influences can play a part in this. I began doing trainings on grief decades ago and with the influx of military returning from active duty every professional helper must understand Heart to Heart Healing for those they serve. During this training we will also learn how to use reported Near Death Experiences, Afterlife Contact, Premonitions and Deathbed or Departing Visions as tools for healing.
